Bethany College
Story
Bethany College 'Camp Out' for charity.
Led by the senior SRC, the students of Bethany College have decided to hold a 'Camp Out' at school whereby they raise money for those less fortunate. At the event, the girls will participate in a range of activities to raise awareness of the plight of homeless people and will do things like pack sanitary and food bags which will then go to St Vincent de Paul for distribution to those who are less fortunate. The money for this has come from fundraising which has been ongoing at school which is organised by our St Vincent de Paul chapter who meet every Wednesday.
We are asking that those who come to the event bring $5 to pay for the soup and bread they will receive for dinner. We are also asking that the girls seek sponsorship so that we can help St Vincent de Paul raise much needed funds. Please note that all donations over $2 are tax deductible. Please note also that you can donate any amount by clicking on the amount field (under the preset donation suggestions) and typing in the $ value you would like to donate. Please help the girls reach their $1000 goal!
Activity
St Vincent de Paul Society NSW (Vinnies NSW)
The St Vincent de Paul Society in NSW has been helping the community since 1881. Every day, the Society's 16,000 members and volunteers help vulnerable and marginalised people in their local communities by visiting them in their homes, providing assistance and referring them to other services when needed. Last year our local member networks provided around $20 million worth of financial and material assistance to hundreds of thousands of people experiencing disadvantage.
